A visit by ATF trainees to Roto Flowers, an importer & processor in Holland

An annual training in Applied Tropical Floriculture (ATF) is organized for supervisors and managers on flower farms. This training involves hands-on training for trainees, sharing experiences between farms and together come up with solutions to common problems. This encourages improving flower production on the farms. The training is crowned with visits to Kenya and Holland farms so as to learn from other flower suppliers, hence, improving Ugandan flower exports. The Auction and other importers in Holland are visited to enable trainees understand what the market requires. Many managers have got promotion and increase in salary as a result of this training.
